Miami Open Day 4 Key Match Previews:

Andy Murray vs Federico Delbonis Miami Open Preview

Former World No. 1 Andy Murray will be on his pursuit of a third Miami Open title against Federico Delbonis. The Brit began the year on a solid note by reaching the final in Sydney, but has failed to move beyond the second round of every tournament since then.

Delbonis made successive first-round exits in his earlier two events. He did win his only meeting against Andy Murray at the 2016 US Open, but the 3-time Grand Slam winner is in much better form at the moment and therefore he is expected to move on to the next round.

Naomi Osaka vs Angelique Kerber Miami Open Preview

Angelique Kerber and Naomi Osaka have played 6 times in the past, so it is safe to say that they know each other’s game. The Angelique Kerber leads the stats with a head to head of 4-1, out of which it is 2-1 on hard.

The last time that they met it was in Singapore, in 2018, and Kerber won 6-4 5-7 6-4. Having said that, Naomi Osaka is in a totally different zone and it is expected for her to put up a great fight in Miami.

Emma Raducanu vs Katerina Siniakova Miami Open Preview

Raducanu will be gunning to silence her critics as she sees herself back in her rightful place, that is in the top 20 – or even better – of the WTA Rankings chart. She would need to quickly string a few wins together, right from her second round match here.

Siniakova might imagine she has a chance here but given her own form & struggles, Raducanu might be perched better to move into the next round.

Leylah Fernandez vs Karolina Muchova Miami Open Preview

This should be a very exciting matchup. Fernandez isn’t quite at the peaks that saw her reach the US Open final in 2021, but she’s still playing at a decent level. Muchova, on the other hand, is making her way back from an prolonged injury absence, but she looks to be playing pretty well at the moment. It is difficult to predict the outcome in this match, but it’s safer to have faith in the Fernandez camp.
